You’ll Soon Be Able To Order Pizza-By-The-Slice At Pizza Express

In a move which is likely to piss off a New Yorker somewhere, Pizza Express is expanding its food offering for its Fenchurch Street customers.

The pizza brand, which has been around since 1965 is planning for the future and rebranding as a casual dining spot called Za.

Diners will now be able to order pizza-by-the-slice for lunchtime takeaways, enjoy fresh coffee and pastries in the morning and then benefit from the more casual dining atmosphere in the evening.

Breakfast service will be a focus at Za — where flatbreads topped with eggs and bacon will be served. Piadina and salads will be offered at lunch.

The move from Pizza Express comes after demand for mid-market casual dining skyrocketed in 2018 with the success of restaurants such as Carluccio’s and Nando’s.
